Streamlining Your Thailand Trip: The Ultimate Guide to the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

All foreigners visiting Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to arrival. The TDAC replaces the TM6 immigration form. The TDAC makes the entry process smoother. This guide explains the TDAC submission process and what to expect in return.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an online form that all foreign nationals must fill out before entering Thailand. It allows travelers to submit their entry and health declaration details digitally, reducing delays at immigration. This form applies to all travelers arriving by air, land, or sea, except for those in transit or traveling with a border pass.

Every foreign traveler entering Thailand must submit the TDAC. However, those who are merely transiting through Thailand without clearing immigration or those entering via a Border Pass are exempt.

You should submit your TDAC at least 72 hours before your arrival in Thailand. Early submissions are allowed, but they will remain in a pending state until you are within 72 hours of arrival. Early submissions will automatically be processed as soon as the 72-hour window begins, and you will receive your approved TDAC via email.

The TDAC system simplifies the entry process, offering several advantages:

The application form for the TDAC collects basic information about the traveler. Here’s what you’ll need:

There are two ways to submit your TDAC:

Once submitted, the TDAC will be delivered to your email within minutes. It’s always available for download from the status page. You can also resume a draft submission if needed, allowing you to save and continue later.

While the official TDAC system is available, many travelers prefer using the Agents TDAC system. This service offers additional features such as:

Frequent travelers to Thailand can benefit from the system’s ability to copy details from a previous TDAC. This feature allows you to quickly fill out new forms by pre-filling personal and travel information, making the process even faster for repeat visitors.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC ) is a digital improvement of the outdated paper immigration document. The TDAC also makes the immigration process much simpler and so minimizes the waiting times at immigration. While filling the document, do remember to submit it within the designated time and review it so as to avoid errors. The TDAC system of processing records will help you save time and make your entry into Thailand easier.
