SDN Northern Suburbs Children’s Education and Care Centre opened its doors at Crows Nest in 1929, and boasts a strong and proud history of providing high-quality early childhood education for children and their families in the local community. Positioned in an area with a high density demographic, it is one of the only local centres with a large natural outdoor play space. A diverse team of early childhood professionals – including three university qualified Early Childhood Teachers, TAFE trained educators and experienced bilingual/bicultural child care workers – works together to create a curriculum for the children that is meaningful and exciting. The teaching team is committed to working with small groups to support the development of language and literacy skills, numeracy and technology skills and also children’s social and emotional competence.
